The function was Anchored by Ria Somani, 3rd Sem, CSE Dept. Student. The resource person was Dr.Arun Kumar, Christ University, Bengaluru. The Webinar on “SciLab”began at 11:30 AM by welcoming the gathering and introduction to the resource person by Dr. T. V. Smitha. An Invocation song was recited by Ms. Disha D, 3rd Sem, ECE Dept. Student. Convener for the workshop, Dr.Gangadharaiah Y H, HoD, Mathematics addressed that “The aim of workshop is to connect the basic studies done by the students and better understanding of them by visualizing and evaluating the same using a software platform”. Thereafter, Principal Dr. Jayapal R gave the presidential address. Then the resource person Dr. Arun Kumar, Christ University, Bengaluru took over the session and gave practical training on “SciLab”. He showed how to do plotting using SciLab and how to solve differential equation problems and Numerical methods problems under SciLab. As its hands-on session, students have actively involved and interacted with the resource person.The session went on till 1:25 PM. At 1:25 PM, the function was concluded by vote of thanks by Dr.Sivasankar S.
